Solitude

appalachian trail branches

I’m a few hours away from a 6 week sabbatical. I know it will fly by impossibly fast but at this moment it is stretched out before me, bursting with possibility. I have just one goal: to be present.

Notice the tiny details.

Stop.

Look around.

Breathe.

Connect.

Feel.

Do a few things that will help slow the rest of the year.

Make it unrushed yet carefully curated.

Lean into the concept of curating a full life with an empty calendar.

open for exploring, renewing, and-giving back

Get up early.

Watch the sun rise.

Watch the moon rise.

Burn candles.

Caress crystals.

Write.

Write some more.

Prioritize nutrition.

Move your body.

breathe

Connect to fire. To earth. To water and air.

Clean your space.

clean your liver

Sip tea.

Sip apple cider.

Create herbal infusions.

trust intuition

Say no.

Say yes.

Be naked & love your body – its strength, resilience, health, FLAWS.

Write letters.

Mail little packages.

Bake bread with plants you’ve grown.

Take up space.
